4歳よりヴァイオリンを始める。日本とアメリカを往き来しながら育ち、これまでに渡辺はるか、瀬戸瑶子、潮田益子に師事。New England Conservatory of Music卒業。リトミック研究センター会員。クラシック音楽での演奏の傍ら、スタジオミュージシャンとしてCMやアーティストのレコーディングにも数多く参加している。2008年には東京国際映画祭で観客賞と審査員賞を受賞した映画「ブタがいた教室」のサウンドトラックにソリストとして参加。2010年、映画「猿ロックTHE MOVIE」、2011年、映画「極道めし」2012年、映画「王様とボク」のサウンドトラックに参加している。2015年にはaudio technicaのプロモーションビデオに出演。

Yukiko Furukawa

Violinist, and educator, Yukiko Furukawa grew up going back and forth between Japan and USA. She began her studies of violin at the age of four. A graduate of New England Conservatory of Music, she has studied with Masuko Ushioda, Yoko Seto, and Haruka Watanabe. She has given many concerts in Japan and USA. She also plays in many film soundtracks, and performed in promotion videos for audio-technica. As a musical educator, she has a qualification of Eurhythmics, and is a member of Rhythmic Center of Japan.
